Since 1850, fraternities and sororities have been intertwined within the identity of The University of Mississippi. Thousands of students have provided a positive impact to the campus environment through philanthropy, service, scholarship and leadership. The Office of Fraternal Leadership and Learning aims to provide each fraternity and sorority member with an impactful and safe experience within their chapter. Over the past year, the office has implemented a number of programs and initiatives, while also strengthening existing opportunities for student engagement. As we move into the future, it is important to plan strategically. That being said, the Office of Fraternal Leadership and Learning has enlisted a team of trusted experts within the field of fraternity and sorority life to conduct anexternal review of our community. Through this external review, we will explore specific areas of our community and our students’ experiences, set shared priorities and determine our next steps as we work to create the premiere fraternity and sorority experience in the country. From November 11-13, 2019, the external review team will be meeting with a number of key stakeholders across campus to gain a detailed understanding of the fraternity and sorority community at UM. It is our hope that you will take advantage of the opportunity to be engaged in this process as your voice is important to us.
Thank you for believing in our vision. We look forward to working together to advance fraternity and sorority life at The Flagship.
